Good start for a beginner photographer

Psychology behind manual lens 

   I started taking picture with nikon D40 and kit lens , i though i will take grate pictures with that, in a week i lost my confidence and stop taking camera out. 

my first mistake in the though process was after leaning the equipment i could be a great photographer so i switch between the modes and took different photos and end up with nothing 

so if you are a beginner before switching between modes and options in camera try to understand the basic rules of photography, including framing and rule of third , once you get comfortable you can see your images become much more better .don't get distracted with functions of camera try to use basic settings and involve more in photography.

most street photographers prefer Leica over other brands ,those who are not brand loyal also says some kind of addiction to it . basically if the tool is not that complicated our skill will play more to get the refinement. same way Leica provided with very basic options which actually required for photography.

By using manual lens you will get more involved in to the frame , starting time it will be little hard just like manual shifting of a car but later will become an addiction and more fulfilling than synthetic way of approach.
